LOCATION

This position may be performed as a hybrid role at our headquarters in Redmond, Washington, or remote from select US states.

WHO YOU ARE

As a Senior Accountant, you are adept at managing accounting operations with a focus on accounts receivable (AR) and revenue recognition. You have extensive experience with billing modules and are skilled at ensuring compliance with ASC 606 for accurate revenue recognition. You possess a problem-solving mindset, demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, and are technically proficient in accounting systems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Manage and analyze revenue in compliance with ASC 606.
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of all cash transactions, including correct allocation.
  • Continuously improve AR processes by evaluating current practices and proposing effective solutions.
  • Reconcile accounts and investigate any discrepancies or variances in financial data.
  • Assist AR Specialists with escalated issues and ensure timely resolution of complex AR tickets.
  • Assist with any complicated AR collections issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, sales operations, and other departments to align and streamline on processes.
  • Work with large datasets to analyze financial variances and provide detailed insights, delivering clear operational narratives.
  • Oversee and manage the global month-end checklist, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Execute the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciling assigned balance sheet accounts.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with the France entity.
  • Issue manual ad hoc AR invoices to customers as needed.
  • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns for various states.
  • Handle additional ad hoc projects as needed.

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a public accounting firm strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, with proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to internal policies.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Starting annual base salary will be targeted between $90,000 - $100,000 (full salary range is $78,000 - $120,000). This role also has the potential for an annual discretionary bonus. The specific starting salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience and education.
