JOB SUMMARY

We support global supply chains across the U.S., LATAM, and APAC, and we operate to strict security and compliance standards typical of regulated, high‑value supply‑chain environments. This role will collaborate closely with our U.S. stakeholders and global engineering org—including teams across LATAM and APAC—and partner with product, security, and (at times) customers.

This role is hands‑on with modern DevOps across AWS and GCP (and occasionally Azure)—building resilient infrastructure, tightening security, and accelerating delivery for high‑availability systems. This is an early‑career role with mentorship and a clear growth path; we hire for potential plus fundamentals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Run production: Operate and harden Kubernetes clusters (EKS/GKE/AKS), VPC/VNet networking, container registries, and (where applicable) service meshes; tune autoscaling, reliability, and cost.
  • Design and support multi‑region architectures: Design and support multi‑region architectures spanning U.S., LATAM and APAC with a focus on latency, resilience, and secure connectivity.
  • Automation: Author reusable Terraform modules, Helm charts, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab CI).
  • Observability & on‑call: Define SLIs/SLOs, wire up metrics/logs/traces (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), build actionable alerts, and help run a 24×7 rotation.
  • Secure by default: Implement IAM/RBAC, secrets management (e.g., Vault/KMS/Key Vault), image scanning, least‑privilege access, and baseline hardening.
  • Data layer care: Operate managed databases/caches (Postgres/MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) with backup/restore, patching, and performance workflows.
  • Ship faster with confidence: Improve release workflows (blue/green, canary, progressive delivery via Argo CD/Flux), and coach teams on operational readiness.
  • Bridge teams & collaborate across regions: Partner closely with U.S.-based engineering, product, and sales teams, as well as LATAM engineering teams, collaborating daily to turn requirements into reliable, secure infrastructure and CI/CD outcomes that deliver aligned results.
  • Engage with enterprise clients: Interact with customers operating in security-sensitive, compliance-driven environments, ensuring trust and operational excellence.
  • On-call Rotation: The position includes participation in an equitable on-call rotation to support 24×7 operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • 2-3 years’ experience as a DevOps or Infrastructure/Network Engineer.
  • Foundational cloud hands‑on in AWS and/or GCP (compute, containers, IAM, VPC/networking, managed DBs); Azure exposure welcome.
  • Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (plus Helm/Ansible or CloudFormation).
  • CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI) and container build workflows (Docker, artifact registries).
  • Linux + networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, routing, VPN/IPSec, load balancing, troubleshooting).
  • Observability basics—metrics/logs/traces; familiarity with Prometheus & Grafana; experience with Open Telemetry standard is a plus.
  • Clear, concise communicator; calm under pressure; ownership mindset and eagerness to learn fast.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across distributed, multicultural teams in multiple time zones, including U.S., LATAM, and APAC.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities, emerging technologies, and evolving business needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving ability with a structured, analytical approach to troubleshooting and incident resolution under pressure.
  • Ownership mentality—takes responsibility for outcomes, follows through on commitments, and proactively addresses issues before they escalate.
  • Attention to detail in both technical implementation and documentation, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Customer-oriented mindset, especially when engaging with enterprise clients in security-sensitive, compliance-driven contexts.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to build trust across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Resilience and composure when handling high-stakes incidents or on-call responsibilities.
  • Eagerness to learn, continuously improve, and share knowledge with peers.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in mission‑critical/NOC environments supporting uptime, performance, and secure remote voice/data communications.
  • Familiarity with public‑sector security frameworks and hardening practices (e.g., NIST 800‑53, DISA STIGs, Cloud Computing SRG) and zero‑trust concepts (e.g., NIST 800‑207).
  • SRE concepts (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident/postmortem discipline).
  • Kubernetes hardening familiarity (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, kube‑bench).
  • Exposure to supply‑chain data/standards (e.g., GS1 EPCIS 2.0).
  • Spanish or cross‑cultural collaboration experience with LATAM teams.
  • Experience collaborating across APAC time zones.
  • Familiarity with transpacific networking patterns (Anycast, CDN, private links, WAN optimization).
  • Security, compliance & work authorization (summary): Role may be subject to U.S. export controls and customer background checks; eligibility to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance is a plus; must be authorized to work in the U.S.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
  • Linux fundamentals certification — e.g., Linux Essentials (LPI) or equivalent knowledge.
  • Networking basics certification — e.g., CCNA or equivalent knowledge.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
